Milan, 8 July 2024 – During Milano Unica, the prestigious event dedicated to the textile and fashion industry, some of the excellence of Made in Italy joined forces to demonstrate the excellence, traceability and environmental sustainability of the Italian supply chain.

Among the protagonists of this initiative are Tintoria Emiliana, Bellandi, Brugnoli, Canclini 1925, Clerici Tessuto, Linificio and Canapificio Nazionale, and the manufacturing companies Logo Firenze, ITT, Carlo Di Paola, Lombardelli.

Leading this project is Tintoria Emiliana, a cutting-edge Italian dyeworker, which uses Sustainable Brand Platform (SBP), an innovative platform that automates the calculation of the environmental impact of production for brands and manufacturing industries.

SBP offers advanced services for monitoring, managing and optimising the environmental impact of companies, production processes and end products, allowing the impact of companies and their wet processes to be measured.

The innovative systemic approach presented by the participating companies is based on the interchange of primary data, which is essential to measure the impact of yarn production, fabrics and the dyeing process with an innovative garment dyeing process on the finished product.

This element of innovation allows for full traceability and assessment of the environmental impacts of exposed products, offering customers unprecedented transparency.

The present and the future for Tintoria Emiliana is the responsibility that a sustainable company in the ecological sense must assume by making choices capable of lowering the environmental impact of its production activities while containing consumption. The partnership with SBP wants to transfer this intent, highlighting TE’s work together with the production chain composed of: fabric, packaging and dyeing.

The SBP platform supports the entire supply chain through a digital solution that allows all players in the supply chain to measure their performance and enter a digital ecosystem where data can be used to create synergies and unlock collaborative initiatives to reduce environmental impacts.

This tool not only supports the adoption of the forthcoming Digital Product Passport, but also allows partner companies to use the data for eco-design and green procurement activities.

This event marked an important step for the Italian textile sector, underlining the importance of cooperation between the different realities of the supply chain and the adoption of innovative technological tools to face the environmental challenges of the present and the future.
