3D KNITS AND NATURAL DYES

The two garments on display are the result of the comparison between TINTORIA EMILIANA’s research and the different manual pictorial applications using selected vegetable dyes; pomegranate, reseda, madder and camping, which passed the colour fastness tests on wool.

The collaboration with Vittorio Branchizio and the technical staff of SHIMA SEIKI ITALIA allowed the development of the different processes, characterised by colour shades that highlighted the three-dimensional composition of the knitwear, characteristic of the WholeGarment^TM technology of 3D models, of stitches realised by the cutting-edge machinery of SHIMA SEIKI ITALIA.
